Civic Association is asking for help

Dear Community Members

The Civic Association is in dire need this Thursday and Friday, January 15-16th of your help in moving the Civic and Theater stored items from the Clubhouse.

The Westwood Shores POA requested that all groups with items stored in the Clubhouse remove those items. This request was made to allow the Association to fully evaluate potential renovation options for both the upstairs and downstairs areas. The Association anticipates beginning this evaluation prior to the end of January.

We are in need of ....

  • Thursday, January 15th
    • Able bodied persons that can lift and place cinder blocks during the installation of the cargo storage units.
  • Friday, January 16th
    • Able bodied persons,
      • to move mostly plastic storage containers downstairs,
      • load in vehicles, and
      • unload to a storage container, recently purchased by the Civic Association and located in the Maintenance yard.
    • Vehicles loaded to drive back and forth between the Clubhouse and the Maintenance yard.

Can help ...

Thursday Laborers

We will not have an ETA for the storage unit till 8:30am tomorrow but you estimate this based on coming from the Houston port. Please email wsca@wwsconnect.com ASAP if you are available starting sometime after noon and include your phone number. We will send out a text when we do know the ETA.

Friday Mover/Drivers

We will start moving from the upstairs at 9am Friday and work till done, exhausted, or too achy to continue.. We already have loose items packed but there are quite a few props and scenery items that can not be packed. Good thing is most of those are light. (I didn't say all!) The more people and large vehicles we have, the faster it will all go and less trips up/down the stairs. Hopefully so many that we will not need a heating pad that evening.

If at all possible, if you can help even just a short time, or even just provid a vehicle, please try.
The WSCA committee sincerely thanks you for your support!
