Dear Westwood Shores Property Owners,

I hope this message finds you well and in good spirits during this holiday season.

It has come to our attention that there have been multiple recent instances where a few property owners from Westwood Shores have used the dumpsters at Marina Village Resort to dispose of trash and other items. When confronted, some individuals have stated that the high fees paid to live in Westwood Shores justify their use of our dumpsters.

We would like to clarify that while there is a mutual use agreement between Westwood Shores and Marina Village Resort for the use of certain amenities, this agreement does not grant access to dump household trash in our dumpsters. These dumpsters are strictly for use by those who are camping or leasing in Marina Village Resort.

Additionally, no assessments or fees paid to the Westwood Shores POA are distributed to Marina Village Resort for the upkeep of our park, including the maintenance and use of our dumpsters.

Moving forward, any unauthorized use of our dumpsters will be considered illegal dumping. License plates of those engaging in such activities will be recorded and turned over to the Trinity County Sheriff’s Office for further action.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in respecting the boundaries and property of Marina Village Resort. On behalf of the entire Marina Village team, we wish you and your families a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Warm regards,
Mitchell McGhee
