Good Afternoon, Westwood Shores!

As we prepare for next weekend’s 4th of July Celebration, here are a few important reminders to ensure everyone has a fun and safe holiday:
Reminder: No personal fireworks are allowed in Westwood Shores.


Food & Fireworks – Friday, July 3rd 

  • Burgers, and hotdogs will be sold beginning at 5:00 PM – 8:30 PM
  • Fireworks
    • Will begin at dark

Civic Association Parade – Friday, July 3rd

  • Line-up begins: 6:30 PM at the Clubhouse

  • Parade starts: 7:00 PM

  • Route: Westwood Drive East, Coral Gables, and Cottonwood
    Come cheer on your neighbors in the parade!


Guest Access & Gate Info

If you're expecting guests:

  • Please list them in Gate Sentry

  • High traffic volume may delay calls being answered at the Access Gate

  • Hosting a large group? Let Access Control know you're having an "Open House" through the Gate Sentry App.


Pro Shop & Golf Course Hours

  • Friday, July 3rd: Closes early at 5:00 PM for fireworks setup

  • Saturday, July 4th: Reopens regular hours

  • Sunday, July 5th: Open regular hours

  • Monday, July 6th: Closed

  • Tuesday, July 7th: Open regular hours


19th Hole Bar & Grill – Hours

Friday, July 3rd:

  • Grill open until 3:00 PM; will reopen at 5:00 PM for event

  • Beverage service: Open – 10:00 PM

  • Burgers, hot dogs, and drinks: 5:00 PM – 8:30 PM

Saturday, July 4th: Open regular hours

Sunday, July 5th: Open regular hours

Tuesday, July 7th: Reopens regular hours, including Mondays!


Fitness Center

  • Open 24 hours a day 7 days a week with the Gate Sentry App!


POA Office

  • Friday, July 3rd: Open regular hours
  • Monday, July 6th: ​​​​​​​Closed
  • Tuesday, July 7th: Reopens regular hours


Household Trash, Cardboard, Vegetative Debris, & Heavy Haul

  • Household trash pickup
    • ​​​​​​​Will be picked up on Tuesday, January 7th
    • Must be bagged and placed in cans with hinged lids
  • Cardboard Pickup:
    • Monday, July 6th
    • Must be broken down, strapped, tied, or taped together
  • ​​​​​​​Cardboard and Vegetative Drop-Off:
    • ​​​​​​​Every Wednesday and Saturday 
    • 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
  • Heavy Haul Drop-off:

    • Saturday, July 4th

    • Saturday, July 18th

    • 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM


Safety Reminders

  • Speed Limit: 30 MPH – strictly enforced

  • Stop signs: Must be obeyed

  • Golf Carts: Only licensed drivers may operate them

  • Deer Alert: Many fawns in the area – be cautious for your safety and your pets
