Westwood Shores Civic Association (WSCA) is a 501(c)(4) organization formed to provide members with fun activities, socialization and to give back to Westwood Shores. Yearly membership is $10.00 per person. Membership forms are available WS Connections (internet or app), Clubhouse and WWS Civic Association Facebook page. They can be turned into the Communication/Membership Board Member, any other WSCA Board Member, the 19th Hole in an envelope or mailed to the PO Box listed on the form. Checks should be made out to WSCA.

Our Mission is to Host Fun Events that Transform Neighbors into Friends for Stronger Community.

Our Tag Line is Have Fun!

The Civic Association is a wonderful way to get to know your community with a variety of social activities. We offer both member only and open to the whole community events. We also use membership dues along with assorted fundraisers to give back to the community based on POA and community needs.

Member Only Events

Membership status is verified before a members only event. If you are not a current member within our records, membership is $10 a person, membership fee(s) will be collected at the event. Please feel free to inquire anytime on your membership status. wsca@wwsconnect.com

The Civic Dinner is a civic membership only function. Dinners entail fun activities and a wonderful menu planned by the event coordinators and prepared by the 19th Hole Bar and Grill. Each individual plate is priced according to the event menu. Reservation fees will be collected at the door.

RSVP and Cancellation Form

There is an official RSVP and Cancellation form for all Civic Member Only Events and is the required process to officially file your event status. There are multiple sources of communications for Civic contacts and information is prone to being lost or missed with multiple communication sources.

Event RSVP

RSVP for a members only event is required for participation. No RSVP, NO reserved seat. For dinners the 19th Hole requires the serving number directly following a RSVP deadline of an event.  Please understand, we are contracted to pay the 19th Hole based on the number of dinner reservations filed by the RSVP deadline, regardless if you actually attend or not.

Event Cancellation

Please report for an individual or whole party cancellation

  • Before an Event RSVP deadline. Reporting before the Event RSVP deadline is highly appreciated and saves unwanted costs for the association.
  • After an Event RSVP deadline as soon as you can. We will do our best to help you but it is ultimately your responsibility to honor that commitment and dinner cost.

Event RSVP After Deadline

Filing an RSVP form after the Event RSVP deadline will place you on a waiting list but will not constitute a reservation until personally contacted by a Civic board member with an available seat. Your Event RSVP confirmation at that point is validating we received the requested RSVP but not actually a seated reservation.

We also have Volunteers that help with such things as event setup and cleanup, activities, games, taking pictures and entertainment. Volunteering is a good way to get involved in the subdivision. If you are interested in volunteering, let one of our Event Leads or other WSCA Board Member know. You can also submit information within the WSCA Community Group in WS Connections, titles Event Volunteers. Follow the prompts, check mark event(s) of interest and save your choice.

The Theater Group within the Civic Association provides an outlet for many creative persons and brings joy to spectators. Participation in the Theater Group helps with memory, learning new things and lets you work with others while socializing. Besides performers, we have sound, set, prob, and ticket helpers that is just as critical. The Theater Group helps with Civic fundraising through ticket sales. Ticket sales provide funds for the next performance and gives back to the community through events and purchases. The 19th hole 10% discount available on the back of your ticket is reimbursed by WSCA.

WSCA is responsible for the Community Rummage Sale in the spring. It is typically held around the first week of April. The POA sets the date for the Neighborhood Garage Sale. They are twice a year and give residents a chance to sale items. The Community on is for residents that do not want to have a garage sale themselves but have items they want to get rid of. The Beautification Buddies, a group of residents that keep our outdoor public spaces beautiful, are responsible for the Fall one. Please save your no longer needed items for the rummage sale. Clothes are not accepted however, the Beautification Buddies typically have Phil the Box for clothing donations that coincides with the Garage Sales. We appreciate your donations.

Please join and make sure to check announcements of Civic Events. Hope you can attend a few.

Have Fun!
