WHY VOLUNTEER

Westwood Shores (WS) Community Volunteer Opportunities

• Connections:
  • Needs people that have good organizational skills and want to help gather information (written, video, photos, etc.)  across the community to enrich the Connections site in helping to keep the community informed.
  • File a ambassador volunteer request
• Community Activities:
  • Any community owner that is interested in starting an activity can do so. To be placed on the calendar and advertised
    • Contact Trista McDonald for clubhouse facility usage or
    • File a spotlight request for outside clubhouse usage.
• Community Groups: 
  • There are many groups officially organized as to different interests, Bluebird Sanctuary, Beautification Buddies, WS Golf Association, and Civic Association with more to come along.
    • Contact the lead person listed in a group of interest.
• WS Committee:
  • Committees are advisory to the WS POA Board and meet as needed. The follow POA committees accept applications on an annual basis, Maintenance, Strategic Planning, Streets and Roads, Country Club, Golf/Greens, Neighborhood Watch, Communications.
    • Contact the POA Admin office or the committee chair for current information and positions available.
• WS POA Board:
  
  • Open Board of Trustee positions available for application are announced before the Annual April POA meeting, and then, voted on during the meeting.
