As we prepare for next weekend’s 4th of July Celebration, here are a few important reminders to ensure everyone has a fun and safe holiday:
Reminder: No personal fireworks are allowed in Westwood Shores.
Entertainment & Fireworks – Saturday, July 5th
- Live Music by Mike & Carrie Baker at the Clubhouse
- 5:00 PM – Until Fireworks Begin at Dark
- Fireworks
- Will begin at dark
Civic Association Parade – Saturday, July 5th
Line-up begins: 6:30 PM at the Clubhouse
Parade starts: 7:00 PM
Route: Westwood Drive East, Coral Gables, and Cottonwood
Come cheer on your neighbors in the parade!
Guest Access & Gate Info
If you're expecting guests:
Please list them in Gate Sentry
High traffic volume may delay calls being answered at the Access Gate

Pro Shop & Golf Course Hours
Friday, July 4th: Regular hours
Saturday, July 5th: Closes early at 5:00 PM for fireworks setup
Sunday, July 6th: Reopens regular hours
Monday, July 7th: Closed
Tuesday, July 8th: Regular hours resume
19th Hole Bar & Grill – Hours
Friday, July 4th: Regular hours
Saturday, July 5th:Grill open until 3:00 PM will reopen at 5:00 PM for event
Beverage service: Open – 10:00 PM
Burgers, hot dogs, and drinks: 5:00 PM – 8:30 PM
Sunday, July 6th onward: Regular hours, full menu available
- Indoor and patio dining are open
- Monday, July 7th: Closed
Fitness Center
Open regular hours during the weekend
Wristband required – available at the Pro Shop
POA Office
Closed: Friday, July 4th
Reopens: Monday, July 7th
Household Trash, Cardboard, Vegetative Debris, & Heavy Haul
- Household trash pickup
- Will be picked up on regularly scheduled dates
- Must be bagged and placed in cans with hinged lids
- Cardboard Pickup:
- Monday, July 7th
- Must be broken down, strapped, tied, or taped together
- Cardboard and Vegetative Drop-Off:
- Every Wednesday and Saturday
- 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Safety Reminders
Speed Limit: 30 MPH – strictly enforced
Stop signs: Must be obeyed
Golf Carts: Only licensed drivers may operate them
- Deer Alert: Many fawns in the area – be cautious for your safety and your pets
